Easter Pageant 2011 Auditions

Make an appointment now with your church leader, in order to get the ECCLESIASTICAL FORM signed.

LIVE AUDITIONS:

WHEN	Friday, Nov. 5, from 6 to 9 pm –or Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 am to noon (come and go). Call-backs for principal parts will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, from 1-3 pm
WHERE	RED MOUNTAIN INSTITUTE, 7126 E. McKellips Rd., Mesa, AZ 85207 (Building is east of Power Rd., off the Red Mountain 202 East, Power Rd. exit.)
WHY	We need to confirm that you still want to be considered for the cast, confirm and update personal information, and meet you in person.
WHAT	No acting, singing, or dancing required. Dress is nice casual. Girls and women, please wear long hair down, not pulled back. Men and boys, no hats.
HOW	If possible, please come according to the following schedule, according to last name of head of household (but no worries, if you have to come a different time).

THIS APPLIES TO GENERAL CAST ONLY, NOT DANCERS or THOSE WISHING TO BE CAST AS ANGELS.

FOLLOWING IS THE AUDITION SCHEDULE FOR DANCERS:

ANGELS: (men and women, ages 17-30)	PLEASE BRING YOUR FAMILY WITH YOU, IF POSSIBLE, IF THEY ARE AUDITIONING FOR THE PAGEANT. If we can get your photo together as a family, this makes casting so much easier for us. Friday, Nov. 5 - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. only (come and go, but must arrive by 7:15 p.m.) - OR - Saturday, Nov. 6 - 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. only (come and go, but must arrive by 10:15 a.m.)
10 VIRGIN DANCERS, MOTHER MARY, AND MARY MAGDALENE:	(Women 16 and older- with extensive ballet and lyrical training) Please dress in modest dance attire and arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and warm up, as follows: Friday, Nov. 5 - 8:00 p.m. (must stay until 9:30 p.m.), - OR - Saturday, Nov. 6 - 11:00 a.m. (must stay until 12:30 p.m.)
ALL DANCERS AND ANGELS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR CALLBACKS:	Saturday, Nov. 6, - 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

General Time Commitment for CAST MEMBERS, 2011 (Please note that this schedule is quite different from last year’s.)
Sat., Mar. 19th 8:30-4 p.m.	Marathon Dance Day (for angels and dancers only)
Fri., Mar 25th 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.	Rehearsals for Principals in Multitude Scenes Only (Previously, this was held 8-10 a.m. on Super Saturday)
Sat., Mar. 26th 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.	SUPER SATURDAY. Entire cast starts with 8 a.m. Chapel Meeting behind Temple, then moves to stage until 5 p.m.
Tues.-Fri., Mar. 29th thru Apr. 1st 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.	Scene Breakdowns (come only when your scene is scheduled)
SATURDAY, APR. 2	(our usual "Second Saturday") NO REHEARSALS DUE TO GENERAL CONFERENCE.
Tues.-Sat., Apr. 5th-9th 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.	Rehearsals – Entire Cast; Media Night, Apr. 7th
Tues. Apr. 12th 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.	Public-Invited Dress Rehearsal: English 7 p.m.; Spanish 8:30 p.m.
Wed.–Sat., Apr. 13th-16th 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.	Performances
Tues.–Sat., Apr. 19th-23rd 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.	Performances
PLEASE NOTE: If you are cast in a Principal Part, you may need to report to make-up earlier than the above performance call times. ALSO, YOU MAY NOT MISS A REHEARSAL OR PERFORMANCE. NEW THIS YEAR: Children, under age 14, must audition and be in the Pageant with his/her OWN PARENT(S). Only ages 14-17 may apply without a parent but MUST have a guardian, age 21 or older, in the Pageant with them.
