If accepted into the Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant, we/I, commit to keep the following standards of personal conduct and dress as representatives of the pageant and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We/I recognize that the purpose of the pageant is to invite the Spirit to testify to cast and audience members of the divine mission of Jesus Christ, the promised blessings of the Atonement, and the restoration of the fullness of His Gospel to the earth.
Therefore, we/I commit to live in accordance with the principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, throughout our/my involvement in the pageant.
Specifically, we/I agree to abide by the standards of Christian living taught by the Church. We/I will strive to be gracious, courteous, and considerate of others at all times and observe high principles of honor, integrity, and morality.

• Be honest in all behavior.
• Respect others' personal rights, including consideration of others' property.
• Keep the Word of Wisdom. We agree to abstain from use of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, tea, coffee, and illegal drugs.
• Live the law of chastity and observe the highest standards of decency
• Dress modestly and appropriately at all times. We/I understand that shorts must be at least knee-length; that shoes must be worn on and around the stage area at all times; that no flip-flops will be allowed on stage for safety reasons; that men must wear shirts at all times; and that sleeveless, cropped tops, strapless tops, tank tops, or revealing clothing, for men or women, is not appropriate. We/I further understand that those wearing inappropriate attire will be asked to change their attire.
• Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance consistent with the period of history represented in the pageant, as approved by the creative director. We/I understand that any questions about the appropriateness of personal appearance should be referred to the creative director.
• Refrain from profanity, vulgarity, and any other inappropriate language.
• Refrain from any behavior that is inconsistent with Church standards or would adversely affect the mission, purposes, operations, or image of the pageant or the Church.

In making this commitment, we/I recognize our /my important role in inviting the Spirit into all aspects of the pageant production.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant desire to protect the safety, health, and security of all those who visit Church facilities and participate in Church functions. Injury and illness prevention is a high priority at all times. The Church expects that care and caution will be exercised by all employees, contractors, and volunteers to ensure that no one is harmed while fulfilling Church assignments or participating in Church related activities. This expectation extends to care of Church resources and property.
The following principles outline the policy concerning safety and security while participating in Church production activities:

• Each participant should be covered by personal accident and health insurance. Insurance coverage for pageant cast is their own personal insurance (with adequate coverage), or self-pay, if they have no insurance.
• Every participant has a responsibility to be informed about issues of safety, health, and security while engaged in production activities.
• Every effort should be made to eliminate possible dangers to people or property. Anyone who discovers a situation where potential harm could come to personnel or property must notify appropriate supervisors immediately.
• No tolerance will be shown for negligent behavior or failure to follow safety procedures. Disregarding this mandate could result in termination from further participation.
• Each participant understands that no cast member, especially children, may be under the stage except when assigned to costume or make-up areas. Cast members, especially children, may not hang on railings, stairways, stage structures, or fences. No cast member may climb the stairways to the angel stage, except with permission of the directorial or stage management staff.
• For safety reasons, children must remain with a parent AT ALL TIMES during rehearsals and performances, as well as walking to and from the stage area to cars.
